 The NRA Basic firearm courses teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for the safe use and handling of a firearm.   

These courses are intended for all individuals, regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation, and consists of hands-on training in the classroom on the range.  

The NRA Instructor firearm courses teach the 

knowledge, skills and attitude 

essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic firearm courses.
