This course is a Pre-Requisite   **BEFORE**  you can enroll in the NRA Rifle Instructor Course.

Course fee covers all training, materials, class + range fees, use of firearms, and all ammo is provided.  

Course is taught by 2 NRA Training Counselors and conducted in a smoke-free classroom, and on a PRIVATE range with one-on-one attention (you will not be rushed or distracted by others shooting, or the public).

Learn the Basics of Rifle, terminology, safe firearm handling, and shooting fundamentals.

This is the PERFECT class for beginners, and all who wish to improve their shooting skills and fundamentals!

This is also the first step to become a Rifle Instructor (the 2nd step is completing BIT {Basic Instructor Training} immediately following the Basic Rifle class, then the 3rd step is completing the Rifle Instructor class.

The NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation; a hands-on practical portion conducted in a classroom and shooting range with an Instructor.

This is the PERFECT class for beginners, and all who wish to improve their shooting skills and fundamentals!!!

Per the NRA guidelines, we need a minimum of FOUR students for a class to ‘make.’

 ** Course fee includes class and range fees, and use of rifles and all ammunition for the class ** 

*All materials will be provided upon arrival to class.

Instructor Led Only Training: The Instructor Led Only takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment.  Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of rifles, ammunition knowledge and selection, rifle selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, rifle inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety.  Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor.

Students will receive the NRA Guide: Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination and receive a course completion certificate.

Cancellation Policy: Students who cancel their reservation less than 7 days before the class, or “no-show” without notifying Instructors, will not be refunded and will be credited towards a future class (within 6 months, depending on upcoming course schedule, and on a case-by-case scenario).
