NRA BASIC PERSONAL PROTECTION INSIDE THE HOME
The Basic Personal Protection Inside the Home (PPITH) Course has Pre-Requisites *BEFORE* you can enroll:
MUST have already taken and passed the NRA Basic Pistol Course, and
MUST have already taken and passed the NRA Basic CCW Course
The Personal Protection Inside the Home (PPITH) Instructor Course has Pre-Requisites *BEFORE* you can enroll:
MUST have already taken and passed the NRA Pistol Instructor Course, and
MUST have already taken and passed the NRA CCW Instructor Course, and
MUST have already taken Basic Instructor Training (BIT) - current within 2 years. For current NRA Instructors adding a rating, you may be required to attend another BIT Course if you have not completed that course within the previous 2 years.

NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside the Home (PPOTH) Course
The Personal Protection Inside the Home (PPITH) Instructor Course is a Pre-Requisite *BEFORE* you can enroll in the:
NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home (PPOTH) Instructor Course
Possession of basic firearm safety and shooting skills is also a prerequisite for certification as an NRA PPITH Instructor.
NOTE: Anyone interested in taking the NRA PPITH course must: be at least 21 years old, be legally allowed to possess and/or own a firearm, be a US Citizen and/or be Legal Resident residing in the United States. NO EXCEPTIONS As per the U.S. Department of State (ITAR-International Traffic in Arms Regulations).

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family and provides information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense.
This course is for law-abiding adult citizens, as defined by applicable federal, state or local law, and experienced shooters (shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm).
Students should expect to shoot approximately 200 rounds of ammunition. Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills; strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation; firearms and the law; how to choose a handgun for self-defense; and continued opportunities for skill development.
Per NRA, we need min. of 4 students for an Instructor class.
