Overview of Pepper Spray Training
This course will teach the use of pepper spray (chemical dispensing device) by private security officers.
Target Audience
Texas Private Security Level III and Level IV License Holders.
Course Goal
To train the students in the theory and practice of the effective use of pepper spray.
Course Prerequisites
Completion of Level III course curriculum.

2 hours
Course Topics
Topics include History of Chemical Weapons, Introduction to Modern Chemical Weapons, OC Pepper Spray, Understanding OC Spray, First Aid, Side Effects, Criminal and Civil Liability, Drills, and Final Exam.
NOTE: The spraying of students with Pepper Spray is NOT REQUIRED for the completion of this course.

Class attendance is an essential part of the education process, and participants are expected to attend all class sessions.
