This course has a Pre-Requisite *BEFORE* you can enroll in this course:
Without this certification first, you cannot attend the workshop:

  • MUST have already taken and passed the NRA Basic Pistol Course – (in-person/instructor-led) + NRA Pistol Instructor Course
  • MUST have already taken and passed the NRA Basic CCW Course
  • BIT must be current within 2 years 

This course is a Pre-Requisite *BEFORE* you can enroll in the NRA Basics and Instructor Personal Protection Inside the Home, and Personal Protection Outside of the Home Courses.

NOTE: Anyone interested in taking the NRA CCW basic and instructor course must: be legally allowed to possess and/or own a firearm, be a US Citizen and/or be Legal Resident residing in the United States. NO EXCEPTIONS As per the U.S. Department of State (ITAR-International Traffic in Arms Regulations). 

This class does not include the Texas LTC and is not a “license to carry” or “conceal carry” certification course – rather in the NRA CCW (Conceal Carry Workshop) Instructor course, participants will learn the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic CCW course, how to safely carry a concealed pistol for personal defense, and how to draw from concealment and engage a target.

Course is taught by 2 NRA Training Counselors and conducted in a smoke-free classroom, and on a PRIVATE range with one-on-one attention. (You will not be rushed or distracted by others shooting, or the public). This is YOUR time!

Per NRA, we need min. of 4 students for a class.

NRA CCW Instructor Classifications:

Certified NRA CCW Instructor: 21 years of age or older

Assistant NRA CCW Instructor: 18 years of age or older (allows youth to assist NRA Certified CCW Instructors)

Apprentice NRA CCW Instructor: 13-17 years of age (allows youth to assist NRA Certified CCW Instructors)

Firearm instructor teaching concealed carry class.
